Boosters get used so often that the verification systems around them have become quite thorough. Let's look at the three specifically.

Rejuran - Verifying genuine Rejuran takes three steps. It's the method PharmaResearch recently built into the packaging: check for the "DOT" marking on the box, scan the QR code on the back to confirm authenticity and read the insert, then hold your phone to the back of the individual blister to confirm once more via the NFC tag. Just say "could I see the box?" and you can watch this happen right there.

Juvelook - Juvelook is verified with a card. The maker, VAIM, provides an authenticity card; scan its QR code or enter the code on the official site, and the authenticity comes up. You can ask, "could I get the card and look it up?"

Sculptra - Galderma Korea's official site has an authenticity menu, so entering the code confirms it. That said, whether a card is provided and how it's checked varies by clinic and by period, so it's best to ask at the consultation how it can be confirmed.

Good to know - Verification differs by brand, and when the packaging changes the marking changes too. So rather than judging by a single fixed rule, like "no QR means fake," it's more accurate to ask first: "how is this product verified as genuine?"

What should I ask about opening, expiry, and cold storage?

Just as important as the genuine mark is the condition. Even a real product means little if it was already opened, past its date, or stored wrong. Ask to see these four in the room.

• Opened in front of you - Just say, "please open the sealed product in front of me." With a product opened ahead of time there's no way to know when, so this is the baseline.
• Expiry date - "Could I see the expiry date on the box?" Check together whether it's passed or close.
• Lot number - It's the tracking number on each product. In case an issue ever comes up, it's fine to ask, "could you note the lot number for me?"
• Cold storage - Some products, like botulinum toxin, need refrigeration. Say "could you take it straight from the fridge?" and you can see the storage condition for yourself.

Aesthetic drugs and devices imported through proper channels go through MFDS approval and customs. After that, how they're stored and opened inside the clinic is the last gate - and that's the part you can watch with your own eyes.

How do I check the dose?

A filler syringe has markings, so you can see how much goes in, and for boosters you can confirm the dose by the number of vials or ampoules.

Dose comes up almost as often as genuineness - the feeling of "am I getting the full amount I paid for?" This can be checked too, if you ask.

Filler - Most come in a marked prefilled syringe. Say "please open a new syringe," and watch whether it's opened from a sealed state, how full it is, and how much is left after - all on the markings.

Booster - Products like Rejuran or Juvelook come by the vial or ampoule. Ask "how many vials will my treatment use, and are you opening new ones?" and you can confirm by the count.
